In 1630-1635, the “vazir” – prime – minister of the khan of Bukhara Imamkulihan Nodir Devanbegi, in the neighbourhood with dahma of Khoja Ahror Vali, has constructed medrese Nodir Devanbegi. Slightly earlier, in 1622 on his initiative in Bukhara was built Nodir Devanbegi madrasa.
In a public life of cities of the medieval East, the cathedral mosque played large role. In days of Friday prayers in an extensive courtyard, all man’s population gathered almost and made the put ritual Mohammed prayer. By order of Amir Timur in 1399 after a campaign to India “at happy o’clock” in Samarkand architects and builders have begun construction of a new cathedral mosque which should eclipse all previous constructions, create the masterpiece which has reflected all achievements of architecture of XIV century.
The mausoleum is situated in south western part of Samarkand and the mausoleum is one of the excellent examples of Central Asian architecture. The construction was started in 1403 by the Great Amir Temur and was finished by his grandson Mirzo Ulugbek wh became a ruler of the country.
